I'm going out on a limb with this photograph of my less than perfect feet, toes and pedicure, but I had to show you my new Sofft Rena sandals. I really do have five whole toes, it's just the last two get camera shy.
So, enough about my foot--what do you think of the shoe? I love it. I wanted a gladiator-ish sandal without all the buckles and medallions; the Rena seems to fit the bill. In typical Sofft fashion, the footbed is fabulously cushioned and the straps don't cut into my feet at all. I also like that this shoe isn't completely flat. You can't see it from the picture, but the Rena has a one inch stacked wood heel. I've walked around town in these and found they needed no breaking in at all--comfy from the first step.
I chose dark brown since it will go with everything that isn't black, but the Rena comes in gold and silver metallic as well as white and black leather.
