Would you know that my son's pediatrician and my favorite shoe store share the same office building? How convenient is THAT, I ask you? He gets 4 vaccinations and I get to try on shoes--hardly a fair trade-off.
Anyway, here's what I tried: the Indigo (by Clark's) Wembley Shootie (Shoe+Boot-B+ie) --adorable, comfortable and quite trendy for this 40-nothing mama. Normally I run between a 9.5 and 10, so I tried on the 9.5 and it was a good fit (Indigo tends to run a bit large). I don't recommend this shootie for someone with an extra-wide foot or with painful bunions. Although the round toe box is fairly roomy, I think it would pinch pronounced bunions on a wide foot.
What I love most about the Indigo Wembley is the heel! Normally 3" heels feel a bit wobbly on my height-challenged feet, but there's a 1/2" hidden
platform in the forefoot area that offsets the feeling of a 3" heel--very clever and the selling point for me.
As of today though, I have not purchased the Indigo Wembley because I had NO idea how to pull off the look wardrobe-wise. But now I know and I have Sarah-Jean Ballard over at The Fashionable Housewife to thank. With an eye for affordable fashion, she was quick to forward a few outfits for me to consider and I picked my favorite from Ann Taylor Loft to feature with the Indigo Wembly. Now I just need a reason to get dressed up...
The Indigo Wembley shootie is available from Endless.com for $99.95 with free overnight shipping and free returns.
