Two for one deal today, folks: cute, comfortable shoes and fun, whimsical jewelry. After reading Kristina's super review of the Born Diem, click over to her Etsy shop of hand-drawn and colored jewelry, Too Many Trinkets. Her creations are uplifting, colorful and so affordable.
Now to her Born Diem shoes (and maybe she'll tell us where she got that beautiful floral skirt in comments below):
They're extremely comfortable; pretty cushy on the bottoms and they are lined with a material that doesn't bother bare feet (some of Born's shoes just cannot be worn without socks or stockings). They're also pretty wide, but are adjustable near the toes and over the instep. I have wide toes but the rest of my foot is pretty normal and I can let out the strap near the toes and tighten the back so they fit perfect. The only rubbing I got was when I put the strap near the toes too tight - it gave me a little blister but once I loosened it, it was fine and never hurt again. I walk up to three or four miles every day and have done so in those shoes without any problem. I actually have a hard time buying shoes because I look for shoes that are cute and office acceptable that can be walked in as well. Born is good for it... so is Keen.
They also 'mark' well. Some shoes, when you scuff them or get some moisture on them will look horrid, but with these, it sort just makes the leather look aged and vintage. I love that look so I don't half to worry about being overly careful when I wear them. And the soles are pretty rugged; almost sneaker-like... so they get great traction.
Oh yes: they go with almost everything I own - skirts, mostly, but they look cute with capris too. The really don't clash with any colors that I've found yet and I've worn them with socks and without.
