I've painted my toenails this color before, but have yet to own a shoe quite this purple and shiny. Wouldn't the Sofft Fane look splendid with a solid black sundress, or maybe something zebra print? If I had an upcoming wedding to attend this summer, this would be my shoe of choice.
Although I've had great experiences with Sofft's foot-friendly styles, I wanted to hear from someone who actually owns the Fane. Mary Jane, who works in marketing at Shoeline.com, says this about her comfortable shoes:
I have the Fane in purple.
It is very comfortable. The whole foot bed is cushioned, but I especially
notice the padding on the ball of the foot. This coupled with the fact
that there is a very slight (almost invisible) platform, means the heel height
is very manageable (it gets you the look of height, without the pain!).
As for the upper, the bands
are quite wide, so I they don't cut into your instep. And I also like the
fact that the buckle has some elastic in it that you can't see when it's on
(there's a small piece of elastic/goring where the buckle is attached to the
upper strap)...so it gives a little when you walk. Again, no cutting into
your ankle.
The photo to the left is from a short video you can view of the Sofft Fane "in action" at Shoeline.com.
Available for $103.95 from Shoeline.com. Use promo code twitter 1 for 10% off with free shipping.
Granted, if you can't tolerate a heel due to chronic foot or knee problems, the Fane is probably not the best choice for you. Take cheer, Sofft has a wide selection of dressy summer sandals with a 2" heel or under. Take a look at the Adara II wedge or the Rori gladiator.
