The unpacking can wait. I'd rather blog about shoes. I'm back from family fun times in Trumbull, CT with yet another pair of snazzy orange sandals to show you. Today we have Clare in the Clark's Korbin sandal. Clare has the most darling short and sassy haircut , plus she can DRESS! You'll find inspiration for your lackluster wardrobe over at her blog, Between Laundry Days.
You know that Clark's footwear has come a long way when someone young and hip like Clare has a pair! She blogs about them here and here. And now she'll review them on BarkingDogShoes.com. Thanks Clare!
I love my Clark's!! These
bright and cheery orange numbers are the first pair of Clark's I've had
the pleasure of owning, and I am sold! I fell madly in love with them
on a shopping trip with my mom, but chickened out. When I went back to
drool some more, they were drastically on sale, so I enthusiastically
forked over my $49 and skipped away. Since then I wear them as much as
I can. They are wonderfully comfortable and unbelievably cute (in my
humble opinion...). I love the low-rise wedge heel
and incredibly comfortable footbed. I have pretty wide feet, especially
at the toes, and the Clark's definitely accommodate comfortably
(although I would mention that if you have wide feet throughout the top
straps might dig in a bit). They seem to run a bit large in size; I am
usually a 6.5 with sandals but these 6s fit perfectly. Overall, they
are wonderful, comfy and cute (and did I mention ORANGE?!!). I'm
definitely a Clark's convert.
Where to find a pair (the Korbin is from Clark's summer '08 collection):
- FootwearEtc.com: still has some sizes left in orange, $52.95 (search on "Clark's Korbin")
- Zappos: dk. brown, black, pink and white, $72
- Amazon: four colors, $60-81
- The Dusky Hill model by Clark's is the current version of the Korbin. Available in three widths and four colors at Zappos for $90.
- Love the orange but can't find your size in the Korbin? Try the Clark's Compote!
