These are my spot-on crocs. I love everything about the Crocs Malindi; color, style, and feel. I've worn them out and about for the better half of two weeks with every kind of outfit: cargos, jeans, skirts and shorts. In fact, I'm going to designate them my airport shoes for Thursday as I grapple with stroller, toddler and carry-ons through security--at least my shoes will be easy to take off and on.
Highlights of the Malindi (available for $34.99 at crocs.com):
- Color: light pink background with brown/black leopard spots--jazzes up a basic outfit of capris and tees.
- Style: feminine slingback with teardrop cut-outs across toes.
- Feel: The crosliteâ„¢ footbed is cushiony, shock-absorbing, and lightweight. I have on-again/off-again pain in the ball of my foot that is alleviated when I wear crocs. The toe box on the Malindi isn't quite as roomy as the Cayman or Mary Jane style and might cause problems if you have a wide foot. The Malindi is best for narrow-medium widths.
Do you own a pair of crocs? If so, which style? Do you find them to be as comfortable as I do?
Below photo: what I wore with my Malindis. I really like the head scarf I picked up at Target for $1.99 on clearance--just wanted to show you!

ok I love them and they must be mine!!!!!

Oh Courtney, if you only knew. I have such a limited wardrobe! I'm learning more and more how to wear what I do have in new and more interesting ways. Some of the fashion blogs on the right hand side of my blog have inspired me the most. This one http://geekthreads.blogspot.com/ is so fun. Although I could never pull off what Audi does, she gives me new ideas.
Thanks for the kind words.

I have a pair of Crocs flip-flops that I purchased in Hawai'i two years ago. I don't think the style is available anymore, but they're still in fabulous shape and I love 'em.
I've resisted buying a pair of closed Crocs because I'm worried about breathability. I'd love to hear some feedback about that!

Thank you for featuring Crocs! I have been hearing lots of Crocs-dissing lately. (Mostly from people who have never put on a pair!) They are my go-to shoes in the summer when my legs tend to get achy, courtesy varicose veins. I love my silver-gray Mary Janes, but may have to give these leopard cuties a try! I LOVE that Crocs offer the good feel of "comfort shoes" with a much more reasonable price tag than most.

Forgot to ask -- any sizing info for half-sizers? I have two other pairs of Crocs and ordered up. Does the same rule apply with these?
Posted by: Beth | May 13, 2009 at 05:11 PM
Marlyn--you wouldn't want to wear these for hours on end since they do get a little, well, sweaty after a while. But hey! They clean up well too...
Beth--I forgot to mention sizing. Order up if half-size!

I love that they've made some Crocs in leopard print! I have two pairs of mary-jane crocs, but they are usually reserved for beach time or uber-casual days. These I would totally wear any time!

I have these in black, and they are so comfortable! I normally wear a size 9 shoe, but in Crocs I always order size 10. I own several pairs of Crocs, and one pair I have totally makes that "suction" noise when you walk, so I never wear them! The Malindi breathes a little more due to the slingback and the cut outs on top.

I just got these in the gold/black leopard print and they are quite gorgeous, although I must say not exactly as comfortable as my turquoise malindis.
I own several pairs of Crocs and I notice the feel of the material tend to differ based on colors, or where they are made. Most are made in China, but some are from Mexico, Canada, Brazil.. Not the same material.
Make sure you try them!
