When facing a closet full of open-toed sandals this morning, I reached way back and pulled out my Born Charisma T-strap pumps. They've got a sandal-ish look to them, but serve the purpose of dressing up my feet for church in spite of my non-pedicured toes. Although the heel is a bit high for all-day wear (I'm speaking for myself, although some of you would manage just fine), I find the Born Charisma to cover all the other comfort bases: roomy toe box (doesn't cut into bunions), nicely padded footbed, and forefoot platform provides height without the feel of a four inch heel!
Stylistically, I'm quite fond of the hand-sewn stitching, teardrop cut-outs and vintage-look t-strap of the Born Charisma.
Being that my shoe collection overshadows my meager clothing wardrobe currently during these days of financial frugality, I was thrilled to pair two pieces that were never intended to work together; my $8 sundress from ebay and the light green floral cardigan from Gap Outlet (under $15). Although I'm becoming more accustomed to mixing colors, I'm still a bit leary of how to mix patterns and not look garish. I think this works...
Where to buy the Born Charisma (whole sizes only, order up if half size):
Sizes are limited as this shoe came out last season. If you like the look of the Charisma but can't find your size, try the Born Finney or Gaga, a new styles for fall.
Regarding the Teva contest--Thank you all for entering, I'm in the process of counting up entries, and firing up the random number generator! Winner announced in tomorrow's post.
