I wore my Sofft Rena gladiator sandals to church this Sunday (insert Moses or Roman Centurion-sandal joke here). No, I'm not doing penance--the straps don't cut into my toes OR feet at all. In fact these are some of the most cushioned gladiators in the shoe world today. After a day in the ring chasing after my two active lion cubs, my feet came out unscathed. Need more info about fit and feel? Read my review of the Sofft Rena from last summer.
What's the best news? The Sofft Rena is now $42 at 6pm.com. If you can't find your size, try one of Sofft's updates on the gladiator for summer '09.
1. Sofft Rori: Similar fit to the Rena from last season. Zappos: $93.90, free shipping both ways. ShoeMart (available in narrow, med, wide): $82, free shipping.
2. Sofft Riona: A dressier gladiator in faux snakeskin. Zappos: $80 (for turquoise snakeskin pictured), Shoeline comes in more shades of python): $97.95, free shipping.
3. Sofft Solis: For a sexy yet comfortable heeled gladiator, try the faux-croco Solis. Comes in 3 widths. 5 star reviews at Zappos: $108.90, Shoeline: (short video review available), 103.95, free shipping.

I might check those out - I love the look of gladiator sandals, but most shoes with that many straps give me serious blisters.

Diana,
The leather is really soft. I know that some of Sofft's gladiators have three widths, but the medium works best for me. I don't find the straps tight at all.

How cute! If I ever do cave on the gladiator trend, it'll be for a pair that doesn't have a toe-divider dealy ... hate those.

Great site! I love that you feature fashionable comfortable shoes! I like the ones you're wearing. I may check them out. Although they are a bit out of my price range, I am glad to know they come in W!! So maybe I'll let the husband warm up to the idea...hehe

My son recently got married and I needed a pair of stylish dress shoes that I could actually wear all day long. I purchased a Sofft sandal with a 2.5 inch heel. I wore these all day long and my feel felt great all day and night. Sofft has the greatest dress styles and their retails are about the best I’ve seen. This is the last pair I bought Sofft Adara
