Beth knows a thing or two about comfortable shoes as she's on her feet during the day conducting nature programs for children at our local arboretum.
Whenever I mention my love for Keen
shoes and see the all-too-familiar eye roll coming on, I want to pull
out these babies and wave them in front of the shoe snob. It seems
many people can only picture the ubiquitous nylon sport sandal when
they think of Keen. Get over it! Yes, the rubber toe guard is
there, so if that’s your problem…I’m sorry. But to those
willing to keep an open mind, I need to say that these are among the
most versatile and comfortable shoes in my wardrobe. They work well
with everything from casual skirts to hiking pants. And the Mary
Jane-inspired styling gives them a little extra zing that I just
love!
They also are great for traveling – easy to slip on/off at the airport, and comfortable for walking when you reach your destination. Should I go on, or do you get the picture? OK, I’ll go on -- they have good support, the leather is waterproof, they are bunion-friendly with a roomy toe box, and they’re durable -- the pair I own still look good after several years of wear. And admit it, you Keen-dissers -- they’re pretty cute!
