After featuring the gorgeous Hush Puppies Lilianna, I was contacted by the company to see if I wanted to try out a pair. Knowing my inability to walk gracefully in heels when my arthritis is acting up, I opted for a lower-heeled flat, the Azune. And I'm glad I did. This versatile mary jane is so practical, yet classy and comfortable. The Hush Puppies Azune has helped me get out of a clunky shoe rut. Don't get me wrong, there's a special place in my heart and on my feet for my Alegrias, Danskos and Wolkys, but sometimes a gal needs a more streamlined shoe.
The Azune fits true to size and features Zero G® technology which, according to the Hush Puppies site, "combines a lightweight
shock absorbing midsole with athletic construction for instant and
lasting comfort." I'll agree with that as they held up famously on the impossibly hard mall floor. My only concern for those with toe knuckle bumps or bunions is the area where the shoe crosses over the foot--you might find the leather rubs against the big toe joint. Thin socks seem to alleviate the problem for me.
