Orthaheel Mae courtesy of FootSmart.
If you've worn Orthaheel sandals all summer, you'll be happy to know that their new closed-toe shoe collection is ready for fall when you are. This is the Orthaheel Mae slip-on with the tried and true removable orthotic insole with the Tri-Planar motion control system designed to realign over-pronating feet therefore reducing aches and pains in feet, knees and back.
Be a wise owl and give a hoot about your feet.
The Mae is an unassuming flat that won't get a lot of ooos and ahhhs as it's rather plain, but the simple bow accent adds a little feminine touch. If you need a comfortable shoe that will go with a variety of casual outfits, the Mae is a good choice (plus, it does come in a lovely purple shade featured below). Some find the arch support too aggressive, but they feel great for my arches (high on left foot, starting to pronate on right).
I recommend the Orthaheel Mae for a true medium-wide to wide foot. The shoe fits rather wide from toe box to heel. I wear socks on my medium widths (wider at toe with bunions) for a more snug fit. Also, I find the Mae runs a little on the long side. The 9.5 fit my foot best (I usually wear a 10).
These are faux leather, but if you want real leather try the Dr. Weil line of Orthaheel footwear.
The Orthaheel Mae is available in half sizes 5-11 for $89.99 at FootSmart.com with free shipping with checkout code SHIPFREE.
