Most Comfortable Slippers for Christmas Morn

Comfortable Slippers

It’s not too late to give the gift of slippers for Christmas. Whether they’re for you or Aunt Sue, I’ve picked four of Zappos best that can almost magically be on your front stoop by Christmas Eve.

1. Fitflop Cuddler: All the support and cushion as Fitflop sandals, but in a cozy slipper. Runs wide. $35-100 at Amazon, free shipping and returns. $54.99-75 at 6pm.com, free shipping, $59.97 at FootSmart with special offers and free shipping.

2. Giesswein Vent: The Zappos video shows a man with hairy ankles, but they come in women’s sizes too. This boiled wool Giesswein slipper feature a cushioned footbed with excellent arch support that’s removable to accommodate an orthotic if needed. Slip-resistant, waterproof outsole allows for trips to the mailbox and short walks with the dog. $128 at Zappos.

3. Baffin Cush: $24 bucks gets you a pair of sleeping bags for your feet. Obviously lacking in arch support, yet full of high-loft insulation with a faux shearling insole and slip-resistant silicone logos on the outsole. The Baffin Cush makes a great travel slipper as its so lightweight and packs easily. Runs small, order accordingly. $23.99 at Zappos, free shipping both ways.

4. Spenco Supreme Slide: Spenco makes one heck of a supportive insole called the Total Support with a deep heel cup, advanced arch support to control pronation and extra cushioning under the metatarsals. That same technology is in this slipper. If you like Orthaheel, but find they run too wide, you’ll love these. $79.99 at Zappos.
