Fantastic Flats: The Rockport Cobb Hill REVchi Ballet Flat
I’m helping Rockport get the word out about their new line-Cobb Hill! Does that brand sound familiar? You may even have a pair or two in your closet like I do (my Bethany boots are on their third autumn). Now you can find your favorite Cobb Hill styles at Rockport.com and nothing has changed–same quality, good fit and feel.
I’m wearing the Rockport Cobb Hill REVchi flat. It’s a simple black flat with ribbon trim at the vamp and heel. The toe is definitely rounded, not at all pointed or even almond shape. This feature allows for more toe room which is difficult to find in a ballet flat. The toe box may be wide, but it is a bit shallow causing some friction on my hammertoes. If you don’t have hammertoes, you’re good. If you have small to moderate bunions, I don’t think you should have problems with the vamp on the REVchi–it crosses the foot just below the bunion area.
This is a structured flat unlike Tieks or other “slipper-like” flats. You won’t be folding these babies up to put in your purse. They’re a solid shoe with a nylon stability shank, shock-absorbing rubber soles, and memory foam-cushioned insoles.
Since the Rockport Cobb Hill REVchi’s insole is removable, I like to insert my favorite Tread Labs insole for extra heel and arch support (more about these new finds in a future post). I thought my heel would slip out of the shoe once the insole was added but found that’s not the case.
The Rockport Cobb Hill REVchi is available in whole and half sizes 6-10, 11, 12; narrow to wide widths. I’m wearing the 10 medium for my sometimes 9.5-often 10 size foot. $110 at Rockport.com. Also available at Zappos, and Shoes.com.
As much as I love my new flats, I’m also quite thrilled with my recent purchase from TJ Maxx, pull-on red ankle pants. I just picked these up two weeks ago, so maybe you can still find them. No zippers, buttons or snaps!
The top is Zulily purchase from a month ago. I know I’m taking a risk ordering from Zulily, because most items have a no return policy, but this one fits like a charm (loose around the belly and long enough to cover up the elastic waist from the pants-haha!). Although it’s no longer available on Zulily, you can find it at QVC in sizes xxs-3x.
My southwestern handbag is a favorite birthday gift from my mom from Sahalie.com.
If you have any questions about the Rockport Cobb Hill REVchi flat that I didn’t answer in the post, please ask a question in the comments and I’ll try my best to answer!
