The Awesome 723 Slingback from Antelope Shoes [3 3/4″ heel!]

Antelope shoes have a new model we are looking at – the 723 Slingback courtesy of Antelope Shoes. Thank you to Kelly D. for reviewing this stud of a sandal.

I work full time at a moving and storage company as well as a mother of a very energetic four year-old little girl, so I stay very busy! The shoes that I chose to wear are the ones that will stay on me for the first 12 to 14 hours of the day. My priority is to have a good fun shoe and accessorize accordingly.

I generally sacrifice comfort for a style or “sassiness” of a shoe because it will look good. The first time I slipped my foot into the Antelope 723 wedge sandals I knew they were going to be a keeper. I will wear wedges rain or shine and being in Chicago…. snow too! I felt that this shoe may look as if they run small from the box but they were true to size.  I noticed that at the end of my day I did not run home and take off my shoes and even went for a small walk with my daughter with complete comfort.

These wedges will look great casually with a pair of jeans & t-shirt, or dressier with a skirt or sundress. I just received these shoes and have already worn them most of the week! (Kelly is an 8 and found the Euro size 39 to fit best).

The Antelope 723 features a 3 3/4″ wedge heel with a 1″ platform. The upper and lining are of high quality leather. The insole is latex-cushioned and lined in leather for breathability. The wedge is made of lightweight polyurethane. An anatomical footbed is contoured for good support. Available at Amazon for $139.95 with free shipping and one free exchange within 30 days.

What other types of Antelope shoes have you tried? Do you like the style of this new wedge? Let us know in the comments below.

Cute shoe but I can’t imagine anyone with foot problems could wear this shoe! Way too high. Wish the wedge wasn’t so steep.

    Hi El,

    I see your point.

  3. Theresa says:

These are cute! Any ideas on whether they would be okay for people with PF?

  4. Bette says:

Nice, rigid platform wedge, but the slope of the angle from heel to toe is too high for comfort — at least for anyone w/ serious foot problems.

I have these in Bordeaux. When I tried them on to wear around the house, they fit like a glove. But when I wore them to work, they were a little tight in the toe area and I started to get a blister. Am hoping that part looses up because the rest was very comfortable. I teach 150 5-12 year old EACH day and I have young children. I run around a lot to keep up.
