Comfortable Flats for Wide Feet/Bunions: Easy Spirit Gessica

Easy Spirit Gessica

Have you all but given up on finding a pair of ballet flats that don’t pinch the bunions? Are you tired of ordering a wide only to find the shoe slips off your heels? I think we may have solved your dilemma with this stylish, affordable and foot-friendly flat by Easy Spirit.

Easy Spirit Gessica

The Gessica is part of Easy Spirit’s e360 collection of lightweight, gel and foam-cushioned footwear. As we read through online reviews, we noticed the Gessica received numerous positive comments from women with bunions. The shape of the toe box combined with a stretchy yet secure-fitting elastic topline makes the Gessica a good fit for those with a wider forefoot-narrow heel combination. Plus, this comfortable ballet flat comes in four widths, so even wide feet with bunions can wear this popular style!

Easy Spirit Gessica

As is typical with most ballet flats, the arch support is minimal, however foam padding over a gel grid insert provides exceptional cushioning. The Easy Spirit Gessica is available in whole and half sizes 5-12, narrow to extra wide widths from EasySpirit.com for $49.99 (you can also find the Gessica at Zappos and Shoes.com).

Easy Spirit Gulia in velvet

Easy Spirit introduced a new flat for fans of the Gessica called the Gulia–we love it in velvet! The Gulia’s fit is similar to the Gessica with a stretch topline, cushioned insole and availability in extended sizes and widths. Find it at EasySpirit.com and Shoes.com.

Do you have a pair of Easy Spirit shoes? Which style do you have? What do you like about them?

I ordered a pair of these after seeing the review here and sadly I didn’t like them. Maybe the wide width is better. They did fit my heels, which almost never happens, but it was actually digging into the back of my heels. And they still pinched my bunion…the search continues!

Oh shoot. Thanks for the feedback, though. I wish I could try every shoe, so often rely on multiple reviews. I’m sorry they didn’t work for you.
