Hotter Boots: Lauren Reviews the Versatile, All-Day-Comfortable Belle

Lauren reviews Hotter boots; the Belle knee-high, riding inspired boot. Thanks to Hotter.com for sponsoring this post. All opinions are our own based on experience.

Lauren is a project manager for a utility contractor so she spends much of her time walking outside checking job sites. When she’s at the office, Lauren’s often on her feet delivering presentations or pacing the hallways busily taking phone calls since the noise level is high inside the office. Hotter boots have just what it takes to get Lauren through her fast-paced day comfortably…and home to her family (she’s actually gone on a weekend uphill hike in the Hotter Belle boots in perfect comfort).

When I asked Lauren what she liked about her new Hotter boots, she had this to say:

Hotter Boots

“The boots are very light and comfortable. I have had some leather boots that tire me out after a day of wearing due to the weight of the boot but these boots are as light as can be. They are not too hot- some boots make my feet miserably hot but these are comfortable to wear with a thicker sock without having to worry about my feet overheating while inside the house or office.”

I asked Lauren how the Hotter Belle fit around her calves (she is wearing the standard calf width, but the Belle is also available in wide calf width).

“The calf circumference is a little on the loose side in my opinion. The boots do have a buckle which can be used to tighten, so that helps. They also have a hidden elastic next to the zipper if your calves are on the larger side. I consider my calves to be a medium width. The nice thing about them being a little bit loose is that you can easily wear them over jeans and boot socks if that is your style.”

Lauren also likes the round toe box–her toes don’t get cramped. She also appreciates the moderate arch support and densely cushioned insole. A soft textile lining provides a cozy feel for cool days. The rubber outsole is cleated for good traction on slippery surfaces.

Find the Hotter Belle in sizes 5-11, standard and wide calf widths for $189 from Hotter.com (we replaced this link with the Hotter Sandringham, a similar style since the Belle was discontinued this season). We recommend Sof Sol mink oil for conditioning and waterproofing your leather, suede or nubuck boots.

Hotter footwear ships from the UK–here’s more info about shipping. Their customer service is top-notch so don’t hesitate to call them up with questions about the footwear or your order. Headed somewhere warm for the holidays? Consider the Hotter Easy sandal (see Carole’s review) or see Hotter’s wide collection of cushioned, supportive sandals and shoes.
