This review of the Hotter Daisy slip-on is sponsored by Hotter. The opinions are completely my own based on experience.

Fashion sneakers continue to trend into 2020 and I’m thrilled to find one that works with my problem feet! The Hotter Daisy slip-on not only fits well, it feels heavenly and will carry my aching feet into spring with no trouble at all.

My main footwear requirement lately is toe box comfort. With painful tailor’s bunions due to rheumatoid arthritis and being on my feet more than usual this year (part-time high school teacher), many of my usual closed-toe shoes aren’t as comfortable as they used to be. Not so with the  Daisy slip-on. The toe box is the perfect width without looking clown-like! The soft leather linings glide along the sides of my feet without irritation.

The generously-cushioned collar around the ankle holds my heel securely with no rubbing and no slipping off while walking. The twin elastic inserts at the instep allow the foot to flex comfortably through the stride. While I noticed some gaping at the midfoot at the area of the elastic inserts while walking, I attribute this to my skinny ankles! If you have a wider foot or wide ankles, this should not be a problem.

The Hotter Daisy slip-on features a cushioned footbed and moderate arch support which is adequate for my feet. The footbed is removable, so you might be able to insert your favorite orthotic.

Do you know how some shoes are just too flexible causing your feet to ache at the end of the day, especially if you have hallux limitus (stiff big toe)? I think you’ll like how the Daisy doesn’t bend too much during the stride. The sole is sturdy, yet very lightweight.

The leather upper is perforated showing a metallic underlay for a slightly sparkly look!

As far as sizing is concerned, I find Hotter shoes to run slightly large and wide. Knowing this, I ordered a 9.5 standard fit for my size 10 feet (similar to a US medium width, but slightly wider). The Daisy is also available wide and slim fit in certain colors. $125 from
