Me Too Shoes: Much More than Ballet Flats! Norina Wedge Review
I’ve always associated Me Too shoes with ballet flats like the cushioned, foot-hugging Olympia with chain vamp detail or the demure Halle skimmer. If you thought the same, think again! Me Too is much more than ballet flats now–the collection includes wedges, loafers, even sandals. Even more good news–if you wear footwear in extended sizes, many Me Too styles are available in sizes 4-13.
We recently tried the Norina wedge espadrille; a fresh and contemporary closed-toe twist on a classic…
If you’ve wanted to try the espadrille trend, but are put off by the typical heel height of over two inches, don’t give up yet! The versatile Norina (see similar style, the newer Nikkie) is yet another casual-chic spring shoe by Me Too with a jute-wrapped heel just shy of two inches. Beth describes the heel height as “just right,” as she hardly notices she’s wearing a heel.

Me Too Norina
We like the Norina’s closed toe, especially during this cool spring when toes aren’t quite ready to come out from hibernation. Yet when the weather finally does warms up (fingers crossed), the perforated nubuck upper provides air circulation to keep feet cool. What a great transitional shoe! Beth also appreciates the closed-toe upper as it covers the bunion area nicely without irritation.
As is typical with all Me Too shoes, a half-inch layer of memory foam cushions feet from heel to toe so the whole foot benefits. While the cushioning may provide minimal to moderate arch support, it isn’t the enhanced support you’d find in Vionic or Dansko.
Beth appreciates the versatility of the Norina wedge and anticipates pairing it with everything from casual denim to flowery sundresses this summer. Keep the Norina in mind if you have a garden wedding to attend!
Find the Me Too Nikkie (a similar style to the discontinued Norina) in three lovely neutrals sizes 5.5-11 for $59.99-89.99 from Zappos, Amazon and Nordstrom. See more recommendations for stylish closed toe sandals here.
I found the perfect Me Too wedge strappy sandle that doesn’t press on my hammer toes. The straps are very thin and are not too tight. I searched
All over for dressy heels and found Me Too’s Tonya Rosewood at Marshall’s. I ordered their Trista Rosewood Battle, a similar style from the Me Too website also. I’m so happy! The straps can be moved off of my sore top toe joints.
I, too have problem feet with RA, i.e. Hammer toes and finding stores that will ship to Canada (Ontario). I don’t think Zappos does??
On line I zero in on shoes that I really like only to be disappointed that they will not ship to Canada. I’m not sure why, s I am about 50 miles from the U.S. border?
