The French brand CAROLINE MACARON offers dreamy heels for women with bunions. Their shoes are specifically made for bunions ! I definitely recommend them 🙂

  2. Bette says:

I recommend the entire Camper line in the Right Nina style. There are ballet flats, sandals, and ankle boots — I love them all. A little expensive, but worth it. Just read the reviews b/c the US translation of the Euro sizes has been done wrong — a 41 is a 9.5-10 and a 42 is a 10.5-11 (not a 12, as every site insists).

  3. Bonnie says:

My mom has horrible bunions that have led to even worse hammertoes. She’s to the point that about all she can wear are the Easy Spirit mule-type slip-ons. I’m praying they never discontinue those!

I am loving Sam Edelman Felicia ballet flats right now. And I’m trying Yosi Samras (so far so good, but I sized up).

  4. Mary Dean says:

I love love love Hotters Whisper boot for my bunion and hammer toe. I live in Portland Oregon. I wear them all the time. I have just purchased their little Mary Jane with a soft cushy bed. It has a Velcro strap that can accommodate those days that I need to keep them loose because of swelling. Hotters was recommended by Barking Dogs Shoes and I am a total fan! Plus they offer sales all the time. They are very slow on delivery. Expect about three weeks but worth the wait!

  5. Lauren sanders says:

I can’t find anywhere that has the Jambu Mason in an 11 ( i usually wear a 10 but reviews say size up). I am so wanting these. Is there anyone shoe that is similar??? Please 🙂

  6. Kirsten Borrink says:

    How about Amazon?

  7. Kirsten Borrink says:

Those Edelmans are adorable! Thanks for the tip.

  8. Sue says:

I just looked for an 11. The Jambu site to which Kirsten linked does have an 11 in the purple — on sale, too!

  9. AndreaCaron says:

I tried Jambu, Mason. It did not fit my customers well. If you need good support and bunion comfort, this is not the shoe for you.

  10. Wendy says:

I’m currently loving Alegria’s Keli slip-on.It’s not dressy or even streamlined, but it has great arch support and does not bother my bunions at all. I did size up. It comes in a lot of colors and patterns, but really wish they’d make more in solid color leathers.

  12. Shoe Fan says:

I have the Whisper boot too! Unfortunately their Mary Janes are a bit too wide for my feet (narrow heels + toe problems ugh), but the boots are perfect for me. I’m thinking of ordering them in another color!

  13. Denise says:

I am looking for shoes that will provide sufficient width for my bunion and support my wide flat feet. The only shoes I am comfortable wearing are men’s New Balance cross trainers in a 2D or 4D width. I have no dress shoes at all. Any suggestions are appreciated.

    Hi Denise,
I have pretty horrendous bunions and just bought a pair of these:
The toebox and area around the bunion are stretchy and they fit well (I have size 7.5 W) These come in WW (EE) size too so perhaps give these a try 😉

  15. Liz says:

Wher can I but these shoes (I suffer frombunions) in the U.K.

  16. Liz says:

Wher can I buy BD shoes in the uk…I suffer with bunions, I have so many shoes just thrown in the cupboard worn only twice after a short Walk…..I now have to stick to wearing fit flops most of the time…..thankypu

  17. Kirsten Borrink says:

And definitely try–they’re from the UK.

  18. Karin says:

Someone recently recommended Allbirds ( I haven’t tried them yet but am tempted to order a pair. Would be interested to know if you have any info about them?

    Many thanks 😉

  19. Susana says:

Hi Kirsten! I’ve been a fan of yours for a couple years and have you to credit for my fabulous Aravon Mayas! Well have I got a rave for you! These shoes are comfortable, sturdy, high quality, and ultra stylish! I’m happy to provide more deets to you or readers — I just wrote a review on Zappos.

  20. Kirsten Borrink says:

Hi Susana! Thank you so much for the recommendation. I’ve been wondering about the Louise et Cie brand and glad to hear you’ve had a good experience!

  21. Joan says:

I have moderate bunions on both feet and find Hotter Charleston shoes good for work. Hotter have now replaced the Charleston with Valetta, but I found those narrower. I have a pair of Hotter Donna shoes which are also comfortable but really smart. Finally, the lower heeled (2-2.5″) M&S footglove wide fit suede stiletto sandals and wedges (in a half size smaller than my normal size) which are great as they cover the bunions and don’t cut into them at all – very comfortable and look lovely for summer.

  22. Courtney says:

Can you send me a link to the shoes your mom wears? My mom can’t find anything that she can wear
