I routinely wear the Teva tira for my water exercise class. They have held up in the pool over several years of regular use.

Great review with lots of choices!

For walking or working in wet, warm conditions, I like the Teva Omnium. I tried several shoes (including the Keen Whisper) before my feet told me the Omnium was perfect. They last forever, too. Not as pretty as that Teva Tirra, though!

My go-to flipflop type shoe is Olukai Ohana. Good support and cushion, and great around water. I get a ton of wear from them, and also travel to Hawaii in them.

The Crocs Swiftwater shoe looks like a perfect reef walker!

Have you tried the new Chaco cloud? The original strappy Chaco have the arch support and stiffness I need. However, after a few hours, my RA achy feet crave more cushion. Before I give up the money, I want to learn if they are really that much different than the originals.

  4. Amy Ungemach says:

I tried the Hoka slides and love them! Great arch support, nice and cushy for RA feet, nothing between the toes and they don’t bother my bunions. Was a little concerned about the textured footbed but so far no blisters or tender spots.

    Thanks for the suggestions 🙂

Teva Tirra’s are SO comfortable. I have torn ligaments in my left foot along with plantar fasciitis. These sandals are great. I’m a lifeguard and need good support walking on concrete all day. Reasonably prices and great for those who need support.

Not one of these shoes come in size 12 or up. Not blaming this website, but the manufacturers. I love shoes, and i don’t like knock offs or cheap ones. What can we do to convince manufacturers to make great shoes in larger sizes?
