Comfortable Women's Shoes | Review of Clarks Alameda Wedge Sandal

Look at all that cushiony support! Look at the the shiny copper patent! Look at the stylish cork wedge! Look at the ant.

The Alameda is by far my favorite Clark's sandal this season. From the Artisan line, no comfort OR style detail has been overlooked.

What I love about the Clarks Alameda sandal:

• Although this comfortable sandal comes in black and red leather, how many times do you see copper patent? A beautiful warm shade of brown with high shine.
• Active Air technology=thick foam footbed cushions from heel to toe (very comfortable for ball-of-foot pain).
• Toes have plenty of room to spread out. For a heeled sandal, the toe box is remarkably generous. No pinched toes or rubbing on bunions (don't unsubscribe just because I use the "B" word, please).
• Wedge heel=stability.
• Heel may be 3", but Clark's does a great job of offsetting the height with a discreet platform at the forefoot.
• Comes in sizes 5-12 (runs true to size and width).

The only concern I have is the buckle ankle strap. My finger joints have lost quite a bit of dexterity thanks to the blasted rheumatoid arthritis, so I find it difficult to buckle the strap.

I caught you. You were running away in fright. Come back and have a seat. You know me well enough by now--I always come back with lower-heeled comfortable shoe features,  but for today we have a pair of glamorous juicy orange wedge sandals by Aerosoles. I could run in these sandals without a problem, making them perfect for me this summer, since I need to chase my 2 year old! My only complaint would be that the front strap is a little snug. I don’t know if it will stretch much, but we’ll see. I saw one other person complained about this in the reviews on Shoebuy.com. I don’t have particularly chubby feet, so I’m not sure why it’s so snug. Maybe ordering a half size bigger would solve this problem? Either way, these are still some of the most comfortable wedge sandals I own, and I have a lot of shoes! The 3 inch wedge heel doesn’t seem that high, but is just enough of a heel to make my legs look great in skirts, shorts, dresses or whatever.

Comfortable Women's Shoes | Merrell Encore Mary Jane

It's not often I take my eyes off my toddler at the playground. But when I spy a cute and comfortable shoe like the Merrell Encore Mary Jane? Well, then just for a moment. I bit my tongue from interviewing the owner on the spot and continued chasing my son. But I tell ya, this sporty shoe looks so much nicer on the foot;  I wish I had taken a picture.

Lightweight and breathable, the Merrell Encore MJ is a supportive alternative to a flimsy summer sandal. The adjustable instep strap allows you to loosen and tighten as your foot swells in the heat of the day and the Q-form TM footbed? Oh, don't get me started. I own the Merrell Siren (bear with me if you've heard this before), and have yet to find a more foot-friendly walking shoe for my barking dogs. I'm not sure how they do it, but Merrell has engineered the midsole to align the stride from foot to knee to hips. I always default to my Merrells when going for a long walk.
