Taos Woolderness Clog Review | Excellent Support and Cozy Comfort

This is the perfect winter “shoe” for loved ones with problem feet that can’t tolerate floppy slippers. The Taos Woolderness features a faux-fur lining that is oh-so cozy along with a supportive removable footbed.

I’ve worn my pair out and about as shoes with jeans or leggings. I’ve also worn them as supportive slippers around the house. The Taos trademark “Curves and Pods” footbed is heavenly, providing decent arch support and terrific cushioning for the heel and forefoot.

Since the footbed is removable, I imagine you could slip in a custom orthotic. There’s elastic goring in the upper which allows for a more customized fit for higher insteps like mine.

The toe box is roomy and the Italian wool upper is forgiving of bunions and hammertoes. I’ve received numerous compliments as the Woolderness is a unique shoe with beautiful embroidery. This is my first time trying the Taos brand and I’m pleasantly suprised by the comfort level and fit.

A word on sizing: The Taos Woolderness runs a smidge small. I ordered the 10 (whole sizes only) for my 9.5 to sometimes 10 feet and my heel comes to the very end of the shoe. If you plan to wear with custom orthotics or heavy socks, I recommend ordering up a size.

The Woolderness clog is available in charcoal, cranberry, taupe and navy in euro sizes 36-42 (5-12) for $125 from TaosFootwear.com, Zappos, The Walking Company, and Amazon.
