I have had surgery on both my feet in the last few months. I am nearly ready to move out of the orthopaedic boots and back into shoes. The problem I have is that my feet are so swollen, more at night. I have been thinking about clogs such as haflinger or birkenstocks, any suggestions or other ideas?

Could you delete styles that are not current? Last night I spend a half hour searching for the Khrio Ginger only to find out that is several years old. Also: what about us gals with small wide feet, as in size 5C or W?? what are we to do??

  4. Kirsten Borrink says:

Myrna, you gave us a great idea for a future post: shoes for small, wide feet. We’ll look into it and work on a feature (probably in a few weeks). We do need to get caught up with removing old links–a constant upkeep as companies retire their styles…

Kristen – thank you so much for developing your site. Very much appreciated!

Thank you again from the bottom of my feet. 🙂

    Hi Kristen,

Do you have a group of women with large feet and high arches?? I wear a women’s 13 and was recently diagnosed with PTTD due to extremely high arches which I didn’t know I had!!
I have orthotics and various arch supports but it’s been pretty difficult to find shoes that can accommodate the supports and are professional!!

So few places make quality large size shoes for women. It would be so nice to hear from others in my boat!!

Kirsten – re wedding shoes – have you seen Sole Bliss shoes and Calla shoes from the UK? Lovely smart wedding shoes for bunions.

    Hello,
Could you review and compare women’s Ecco Yucatan sandals and Ecco Off Road lite sandals?
They look so similar, that it makes it hard to choose.
    Thank you.

    Hi Kristen!

I want to say how much I love your blog/site/insight!!! I found out about you through your friend Nina M. She was sooo right! I now check here before I buy any shoes!

Thank you! From a size 11/12 girl in Atlanta, GA!!!

  10. Kirsten Borrink says:

Hi Lora Lee! NINA is the best. Yes, we do feature brands that size up to 12 sometimes, so stay tuned.

I am searching for the perfect sandal and athletic shoe for a woman who is obese and has back pain from falls, mostly lower back pain. Flat feet, I want to start walking again, but I usually buy running shoes because they are lighter and more comfortable. Don’t want huge sole. Anyway, I have knee pain in both knees and also arthritis in knees and ankles. Ankles hurt, I over pronate and hips hurt after a bit. Can’t stand long without pain in back. Can’t walk like two lanes in grocery store without back pain that sends me back to the car to sit. I need to lose weight desperately and would love shoes that offer terrific support. I have lots of different shoes in my closet. But always, I will get a blister between my big toe and the one next to it. I will get blisters on my the back of my heels. My ball of foot, i think that’s what its called, up front below toes get blisters and the bottom of my heel kills me. Is there anything that you can recommend. I don’t like wearing athletic shoes because my feet get hot, so would not wear them much in summer, but want those and also some sandals. I live in sandals. Could you send the recommendations to my email address? I will probably forget to check back here. Thank you
